CONDENSED WARRANTY

We honour all manufacturers’ warranties according to their terms and conditions. Please see our section on manufacturer’s warranties for specific products.

This normally means

  1.  Products are warranted for a specific period (12, 24 months) after delivery or installation;
  2. However, it is expressly noted that batteries normally carry no warranty due to the nature of these products being such that they are subject to possible misuse;
  3. During load shedding no battery carries a warranty, running a battery “flat” reduces its capacity and ability to fully recharge, specially on motors that require 15 amps plus;
  4. All warranties are on a “CARRY IN” basis. This simply means that products must be taken in to the manufacturer’s premises, or an agent/distributor/ repair centre, at the owner’s cost. This is similar to buying a kettle from a retailer and returning it to them when something goes wrong. Owner is liable for labour and transport/courier costs to remove, hand in, collect, re-install, setup and test product. Please keep your invoice as proof of installation date;
  5. The warranty does not cover any product that has been subjected to misuse, user abuse, incorrect application, insect infestation, power surges, metal corrosion, any other power related problems etc will not be covered by the warranty. Basically any event that is outside of the manufacturer’s control;
  6. The warranty does not cover any product has been tampered with, opened, modified, repaired by unauthorised persons, or with any non specific parts eg. incorrect fuses etc.
  7. Any component that was only tested, and not repaired / replaced, will not result in any warranty claim in the future unless the whole unit is still under warranty
  8. All repaired/replaced components carry a three month warranty from repair invoice date. Please keep your invoice.

In addition to this we give you more for your money.

  1. We know that when you purchase any new product, getting used to it and setting it up to suit your needs might just not be done on day one. We will do adjustments to your initial installation for free for 14 days. That means that if you decide your gate should close after 10 seconds instead of 20, we will come and do the programming for free.
  2. Any warranty issues that you might encounter within the first four weeks will be attended to for free, subject to the manufacturers warranty. This means that for the first four weeks we will remove, transport/courier replace and test without any cost to you. Repair/replacement will be according to manufacturers specs.
  3. Any repaired/replaced component carries a three month warranty from the manufacturer, labour excluded. We will carry the labour/transport costs for three months on any repairs done by us.
  4. When we attend to a problem we fix the cause not the symptom, if we get it wrong we fix it without charging for our labour. Only on the same fault. We will advise beforehand and explain what and why we do what we do. Example: motor does not run, battery is flat. We don’t just replace the battery, we check the charger, we check the controller card and make sure that it is just the battery that is faulty. If we determine it is the charger we will replace and advise on the condition of the battery. If your battery is flat again in two days we will fix the problem, you pay for the parts, we provide the labour. We mark your parts and keep them for 14 days
